So, now that we're done with the intro, I'm going to pick up were Mom left off.
We are fully moved in to the Summer Road place, and we've gotten used to it. The dirty carpet smell still lingers in the bathroom, but, like living here, we've gotten used to it. It's become much more homey.
We've made progress on the "horse barn" as well. All the side attachment's walls have been taken down. The job took almost all day and Grampa Dave came to help. We spent a lot of the time pulling the nails from the planks we salvaged. We had four pry-bars and two hammers. Dad and Raif would pry the boards up, Grampa brought them over to the saw horses, hammered the nails to the other side, and I pulled them out and stacked the boards. It was a good day of work, and all the while, Fiona was sitting and eating berries.
The crew taking the wall apart.
Without the addition on the side, the building looks much smaller.
Can you see the pontoon in the background?
The lot across the street that we own is becoming a lumber yard with materials for the future shop and house. These are timbers sawed by Mark recently for the shop.
Here I am enjoying the work pullin' nails!
Fiona had to try on Daddy's safety glasses.
